The Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers - operating systems, system configurations and software applications. It participates in technical research and development to find the solutions that perfectly match client’s needs.
Job Responsibilities
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
Knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) environments, command line tools, shell scripting and utilities.
Manage server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft HyperV
Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory structure
Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues
Monitor the systems daily, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware and server resources and respond quickly to any issue that may arise.
Perform and monitor system and application backups on multiple platforms.
Performs application and server upgrades as required to meet business needs.
Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Must be organized and have the ability to manage different projects.
Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
Accuracy and attention to details.
Nice to have
Systems Administration/System Engineer certifications in Linux and Microsoft.
